Instructions for Fall of 2013 Selection
BOG Chair Elect
Nominating Committee Charge:
The BOG Nominating Committee is made up of the officers of the Board of Governors (Chair, Chair-Elect, and Immediate-Past Chair) and three other members of the BOG, who are in their last year of their three-year term. The Immediate-Past Chair of the BOG shall serve as the Nominating Committee Chair. Non-officer BOG members are appointed by the Chair of the Nominating Committee. Non-officer BOG members shall serve a one-year term to the committee. The committee shall meet to elect a governor for the position of BOG Chair-Elect.
Selection Information and Timeline
Chair: Immediate Past-Chair, BOG
Committee Members: Immediate Past Chair, Chair, Chair-elect, and three non-officer members from Class of 2014
Selection process: All members of the BOG are invited to submit a nominee for Chair-Elect from the Class of 2015 or a qualified member may nominate themselves. A letter outlining qualifications, job description and stipend, term of office, and time commitment is sent with the invitation.
The following form should be submitted to Chapters staff at ACC National for those interested in being considered for this position by emailing it or faxing it to (202) 375-6848.

Nominees are asked to submit a letter (max 3 pgs) to the Committee Chair outlining their level of interest, their ideas of how to enhance Chapter development and member involvement, issues that should be considered for discussion by the BOG, their qualifications, and their ability to meet the time requirements. One or no more than two letters of recommendation on their behalf should also be sent to include in their packet.
Chair may wish to call and encourage various members that he/she believes would be good candidates to nominate themselves.
All nominee applications are reviewed by the BOG Nomination Committee and a conference call is conducted to determine by open voting the new Chair-elect.
