The State Advocacy Work Group acts as the central forum for State Advocacy planning. All recommendations developed by the Work Group must be approved by the BOG Steering Committee.

The Work Group is responsible for:

1) Reviewing and deliberating state policy issues relevant to the delivery of cardiovascular health care and strategies to address emerging state advocacy issues.

2) Facilitating the increased circulation of College information and knowledge on state government issues.

3) Facilitating state and chapter involvement in regards to state advocacy.

4) Making recommendations to the Board of Governors on the manner and extent to which the College should address specific legislative and regulatory issues.
