Job board revenues do not change the non-profit status of an organization. Job board revenues are subject to UBIT (Unrelated Business Income Tax) and should be reported as such for tax purposes, but that has no impact on non-profit status.
The ACC selected Boxwood in 2009 to be the job board provider and will begin using their services beginning June 1, 2009. Please find an executive summary

Boxwood is an ASAE-endorsed provider of online job board technology. They work exclusively with associations and have more than 750 association clients, including over 100 in healthcare. Boxwood’s clients operate successful job boards, and since 1998 they have helped their association clients generate more than $150 million in non-dues revenue for their organizations.
As a Boxwood client and a member of the National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN), ACC Chapters would benefit from:
(a) a private-label job board that allows each chapter to customize the look-and-feel and link to chapter-specific career content
(b) a new source of non-dues revenue (from both job postings and candidate applications)
(c) access to an increased number of relevant job listings, especially as the NHCN continues to grow
(d) the job seeker data the system collects, enabling clients to proactively recruit new members
(e) a more dynamic and robust job board that will attract more individuals to your website (which boosts awareness of your other programs and services, as well)
